Graduated in Cinema from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, and certified in production from EICTV in Cuba. He participated as a Bammer at the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM) 2023, and was also selected for Talents Guadalajara 2025.  He co-produces the feature film The Message of Fire (Piranha Filmes and Ursana Filmes), currently in development, which was selected for the 17th Nuevas Miradas, awarded the Líneas Argumentales prize at Cine Qua Non Lab 2024, and participated in the Cine Qua Non Lab residence in 2025. The project also received development funding through the LPG 2023. Additionally, he produces the feature Passaporte Pataxó (Ursana Filmes), which was selected for FilmAfro Cartagena 2023 (Bolivia Lab - Rally Pitch), advanced to the final stage of Lab APAN Negras Narrativas 2024, and was invited to Ventana Sur 2024. It was also chosen for the 2nd Latin American and Caribbean Animation Forum. As a director, he is developing his first feature, Onça e Arrudas.  His debut short film and graduation project, Purple Dictatorship (2020), was selected for over 100 national and international festivals. It was broadcast on Rede Minas and acquired by the streaming platform Cardume Curtas.  His second short, At Night All The Cats Are Brown (2024), a Brazil-Cuba co-production, premiered at the 33rd Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival (Curta Cinema) and was selected for the 47th Guarnicê Film Festival, the 35th São Paulo International Short Film Festival (Kinoforum), among others.  He produced the short I Never Thought It Will Be Like This (Meibe Rodrigues, 2022), which was screened and awarded at major festivals such as the Vitória Film Festival, the 46th Guarnicê, and FestCurtas BH. He also produced the shorts Babilonya (Duda Gambogi, 2024), premiered at the 64th Krakow Film Festival and selected for BOGOSHORTS; To Kill a Man (Orlando Mora Cabrera), chosen for LALEEF’s 26th edition and the Central American International Film Festival (ICARO); Songs To Die In Havana (María Salafranca); and Anba Dlo (Luiza Calagian and Rosa Caldeira), selected for the Competitive Shorts section at the 75th Berlinale, 64º Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias - FICCI, 49º Hong Kong International Film Festival (Best Short Film), VIENNA SHORTS - 22º International Short Film Festival and 17º Psarokokalo International Short Film Festival.  As Executive Producer, he is working on Sem Brava (Montívia), financed through the BH Nas Telas 2022 call, currently in post-production.  He is the Production Director of Celebrai (Maick Hannder), which is in final stages. He also serves as Production Director for Madorna (Higor Gomes).  He is the Production Director of Desejo É O Nome Do Homem Que Eu Amo (Lea Monteiro), a feature by Girolando Filmes.  Currently, as a producer, he is developing the short Uma (Antonio Pedroni), selected by the Lei Paulo Gustavo in Belo Horizonte, and Orlando (Luiza Garcia). As a director, he is working on the short Prometheus, already financed and selected for Cinéma de Demain – SFC | Rendez-vous Industry – Focus SCRIPT 2025. Recently, he filmed the short Boulevard Arrudas, which is now in post-production with an expected release in 2025.  He is a member of APAN (Audiovisual Professionals of the Black Community) and a founding partner of Ursana Filmes.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
