A work in constant progress (and occasional regress).
Born in the northern part of France to a French mother and Belgian father, Nicolas has always been fascinated by the world of art and photography. After studying in Cambrai and Paris, he discovered a passion for acting and was equally drawn to being both behind and in front of the camera, enjoying the process of creating characters and playing with different expressions and emotions. Nicolas's first foray into film came in 2001 when he had a small part in Max, a film directed by Menno Meyjes and featuring A-list actors such as John Cusack, Noah Taylor, and Leelee Sobieski. Later on, he studied with acting coaches such as Paolo Antonio Simioni, Eva Magyar, later studying the Chubbuck Technique, Gister and Meisner at the International Acting Studio. This further sharpened his skills and deepened his commitment to the craft. He has since gone on to play a recurring role next to a well-known French actress Laura Smet in Fauda, an Israeli Netflix series, and co-starred in the series FBI International, showcasing his versatility and range as an actor. Nicolas also worked as a co-lead in a feature movie Forefans, demonstrating his ability to bring depth and nuance to complex characters. In addition to his dedication to acting, Nicolas is a true sports enthusiast. He actively participates in various sports, including horseback riding, running, Kung Fu, Nunchakus, roller skating, and even skydiving. These physical activities not only keep him fit but also provide him with an outlet for personal growth and discipline, which translates into his performances as an actor.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
