His first feature film Lurking in Suburbia was discovered by Sundance Film Festival programmer Trevor Groth.. Next, Altieri and long time film partner Phil Flores created their filmmaking alter-egos The Butcher Brothers, writing and directing the independent horror film The Hamiltons.
