A graduate from the Asian Academy of Film and Television, India, Arin Paul embarked on his cinematic journey, initially assisting various filmmakers in Delhi and Kolkata. At a remarkably young age, Arin made his directorial debut with the Bengali feature film "10:10," which quickly became the talk of the town.  Subsequently, Arin has ventured into independent filmmaking across a diverse spectrum of projects, spanning web series, short films, documentaries, video documentation, corporate films, and commercials (ad-films). His creative palette also extends to non-fiction television series and more. Arin's directorial prowess extends beyond independent ventures, as he has helmed projects for prestigious channels such as ZEE, Kolkata TV, Star Plus, and others.  Arin's body of work has earned appreciation and recognition across various domains. Notably, his awareness films for the Kolkata Traffic Police, documentary work for Anandabazar Group (ABP Digital), and contributions to initiatives like Handi-Care International in Canada have been widely lauded. His dedication to storytelling extends to impactful narratives like "Amar Seva Sangam," a venture that garnered significant acclaim and resulted in a token of appreciation during the International Conference on Early Intervention in Chennai, India in 2020.  Arin's accolades include the 'Rotary Youth Achiever of The Year' award bestowed upon him in 2008. His short film, "Aehsaas," centered around the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, was honored with the "Certificate of Excellence" by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India in 2017. Several of his films have also had the honor of being showcased at various international film festivals worldwide.  In 2012, driven by a relentless motivation to work independently and craft meaningful content, Arin established "Arin Paul Productions." This production company, dedicated to filmmaking, has been the platform for many of his projects. Arin's commitment to uncompromising quality and thought-provoking content remains a hallmark of his work. Alongside his independent projects, he continues to collaborate with other production ventures, always seeking challenging and captivating opportunities in the world of cinema.  Adding to his illustrious journey, Arin Paul and his documentary "Birds of Paradise ~ The Amar Seva Sangam Story" were recently honored with the Best Documentary and Best Cinematography awards at the 11th International Documentary Film Festival, Noida, 2023. As the director of this outstanding documentary, Arin continues to make remarkable contributions to the world of film and storytelling.

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
