In the vibrant neighborhood of Tondo Manila, the melodious journey of a young songstress, affectionately known as Princess Imperial, began to take shape at a tender age.  Born Princess Jhoyce Imperial Benzi on March 22, 2010, this spirited young talent already envisions a future where she can touch hearts and inspire souls with her vocal prowess.  At the heart of Princess's musical journey is a tight-knit family, with her mother Raye Imperial playing a central role.  Together, they form the harmonious Imperial Duo, a team that harmonizes not just in song but in spirit. Their dynamic synergy was spotlighted and celebrated when they passed the blind auditions of "The Voice Generations Philippines," showcasing a unique blend of familial bonds and dreams woven together through music.  Yet, despite the spotlight beginning to shine on her, Princess remains steadfastly grounded, a student diligently pursuing her studies at San Rafael Parochial School.  With discipline beyond her years, she balances her academic commitments with a budding music career, without losing the joy of childhood, finding time to indulge in drawing and dancing, nurturing her creativity from every angle.  Princess embodies youthful determination, displaying a kind of confidence and trust in her abilities that inspires those around her.  Even in the face of challenges, whether in school or on a television stage, she stands firm, filled by an inner belief that her dreams are within reach.  Her foray into the world of music started early, with her talents catapulting her to the Centerstage of GMA 7 at a young age, marking her initial steps into the national spotlight.  This experience was more than thrilling; it was an affirmation of her potential, setting a foundation for a career that would gradually build with each television appearance and social media recognition.  Behind the budding star is the diligent guidance and support of Talent Manager John Rey Malto, who is equally committed to nurturing her talents and guiding her on a path towards success in the demanding showbiz industry.  Their relationship reflects a collaborative journey, where each milestone achieved is a victory shared, forming a roadmap built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared vision for success. Princess Imperial carries a dream that goes beyond the glamour of showbiz.  She dreams of serving others, even harboring aspirations to become a doctor. It's a peek into a heart brimming with kindness and a readiness to give back to the community.  As she continues her ascent in the entertainment landscape, Princess carries with her not just her family's unwavering support, but a fire fueled by hard work, determination, and youthful zeal.  - IMDb Mini Biography By: John Rey Malto

About the Movie Section

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.
  • If you would like to correct movie data on this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's corrected on their site, it should soon be corrected on this site.
  • For additional corrections and profile removals, please e-mail The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
