Jordi Carbonell (Barcelona, 1963) is a producer and audiovisual entrepreneur. He is an expert in financing, investment, and audiovisual taxation through the management of both national and international fiscal and economic incentives. During the 1990s, he combined business management with the production of short films by young directors with great creative potential. He is currently a partner and CEO of Sin Parpadear, S.L., alongside Oriol Cardús, dedicated to international production and co-production. In recent years, he has produced 13 titles, including feature films, short films, documentaries, and series. Since starting in 2011 as a founding partner of Produccions del Primer Cinquena, S.L., producing titles such as “Nasciturus” (2011), “Para Elisa” (2012), and “Vidas Búlgaris” (2014), his career has continued to grow, culminating in the acquisition of 50% of Sin Parpadear, S.L. in 2022. With this company, they have produced “Adrià” (2023), “Entre Mareas” (2024), “Sal&Dean” (2024), and “Prou Bé” (2024). He is also a contributor to the digital magazine www.cineytele.com and a speaker on financing and private investment at various national and international audiovisual conferences. Additionally, he is a consultant for Valuecapital and Nexum ETL, companies dedicated to film investment. Among his upcoming projects as producer and executive producer are the production of two feature films: “Una Bala, una Pistola y un Panda” (2025) and “El Mundo Era Nuestro” (2025/26).

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
