Lee Jae Jun, also known as Marcus and formerly known as Maru, is a South Korean singer, dancer, former member of C-CLOWN, TREI and TAN and current member of the duo JT & MARCUS and IN A MINUTE. He graduated from Heungdeok High School and is enrolled at Cheongju University.  He made his debut in July 2012 (at the age of 15) as C-CLOWN's lead rapper, lead dancer, vocalist and maknae with their first mini-album, "Not Alone" (using the stage name Maru). The group was managed by Imagine Asia (formerly known as Yedang Entertainment). In October 2015, the agency announced C-CLOWN was disbanding, so he decided to leave the agency. He began using his birth name and, in 2017, switched agencies.  Originally formed as a duo alongside Chae Chang Hyun, he re-debuted in August 2017 as TREI's leader with their digital single "Up". The agency, Banana Culture Entertainment, decided to restructure the group and added a third member in 2018 and re-debuted as a trio in February 2019 with their first mini-album, "Born". Unfortunately, the group was not successful and disbanded in June 2020.  In October 2021, he joined MLD Entertainment and re-debuted once again, now as part of the duo JT & MARCUS (alongside former TREI member Jun Tae or JT) with their first single, "Dear You". They occasionally release a new single and have provided an OST for the drama "Going to You at a Speed of 493 km".  Later that year, he entered the singing survival show "Extreme Debut: Wild Idol" and finished in 5th place, earning a spot in the project group TAN as the main dancer, sub-vocalist and visual. He signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Think Entertainment and debuted in March 2022 with their first mini-album, "1TAN".  However, the agency became embroiled in several controversies and all members ended their contracts in June 2024. A few weeks later, leader Lee Chang Sun announced the group's disbandment.  He made his acting debut by appearing in the 2023 BL web story "CityBoy Log".  He then re-debuted in October 2024 as part of the trio IN A MINUTE with Kim Jun Tae and Kim Hyun Yeop. They had a fan meeting in Seoul and pre-released the singles "Unbox" and "What You Want".

About the Movie Section

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.
  • If you would like to correct movie data on this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's corrected on their site, it should soon be corrected on this site.
  • For additional corrections and profile removals, please e-mail The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
