Naeem Tahir is a writer, director and film producer mean a multifaceted talent known for his prolific contributions to the world of entertainment and event organization. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, and based in Dubai since 2003, Naeem Tahir embarked on a remarkable career that spans writing, production, and event management.  In 2007, Naeem Tahir took his first steps into the industry as a writer and producer. His creative prowess quickly became evident as he penned numerous plays and TV shows, leaving an indelible mark on the world of storytelling. Fueling his passion for entertainment, Naeem Tahir founded Redwood Production in 2007, a production company that would go on to become a powerhouse in the industry. Through Redwood Production, he had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed Bollywood and Pakistani artists, showcasing his ability to bring compelling narratives to life on screen. In 2013, Naeem Tahir's vision expanded to the world of fashion with the creation of the Dubai Fashion Awards. This prestigious event aimed to provide a platform for emerging fashion designers, nurturing talent within the industry and allowing them to showcase their creativity.  Building on this success, Naeem introduced "Made in Pakistan" in 2016, an initiative designed to promote and celebrate products originating from Pakistan, highlighting the country's rich heritage and craftsmanship.  In 2017, Naeem Tahir organized the Khaleej Screen Awards in Dubai, an event dedicated to recognizing and honoring the achievements of Pakistani artists, affirming their valuable contributions to the world of entertainment. Continuing his mission to foster goodwill and cultural exchange, Naeem orchestrated "Jashan-e-Dosti" in 2018, an event aimed at promoting love and understanding between India and Pakistan. The event featured renowned figures such as Alka Yagnik, Kajal Vashisht, Sahir Ali Bagga, and comedians Juri Ali Hassan and Irfan Malik, bringing together talent from both nations in a spirit of unity.  In 2023, Naeem Tahir ventured into the realm of digital content with the creation of the comedy-horror web series "Bhootni Ke." Serving as the writer, Naeem's creative genius took center stage as he collaborated with director Arjun Verma to craft a unique and entertaining series.  Naeem Tahir's creative journey continues with his involvement as a producer in several web series, including "Ghar Aye Mere Par Desi," "ATM (All Time Money)," and "Happy Murder Day," promising audiences more engaging stories and experiences. Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
