DeShon Hardy is a writer, producer, and director with multiple films in active distribution. In 2015, RedBox released his first independent horror film, “The Lake on Clinton Road.” It also yielded an international distribution deal with Gravitas Ventures and released in over 30 countries. Gravitas Ventures also released his second independent horror film in 2020, “Dwellers: The Curse of Pastor Stokes” which was released on Apple TV+, Amazon Prime and VUDU. His third film, “A Message from Brianna” starring former NFL star Vernon Davis and Netflix’s Greenleaf star Asia’h Epperson released on BET+ May 2022. In 2021 DeShon partnered up with NBA Star Chris Paul (Executive Producer) and produced and directed the business reality show “The Front Office” for Players TV. His fourth film “Dear Best Friend” starring True 2 the Game stars Andra Fuller and Jeremy Meeks. The cast also included Hip Hop icon Trina and Netflix’s Greenleaf star Asia’h Epperson, released on BET+ in January 2022. DeShon has produced, directed and written two short films to be released on BET for Juneteenth 2022. One of the Short films “Renny” is starring Reginae Carter. He also produced, wrote and directed the new anthology series “I Got A Story to Tell” released on BET+ in December 2022. DeShon followed up with “Under His Influence” another film he wrote, produced, and directed, which starred former NBA star Iman Shumpert, BMF star Sydney Mitchell, Dynasty star Michael Michele and Housewives star Cynthis Baily. This film was released on BET+ in February 2023. DeShon is an extraordinary creative, with immense writing talent. He graduated with high remarks from the New York Film Academy and took the independent road to find success in film.

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
