"With a tapestry of skills encompassing acting, dance, singing, directing, and painting, Goran embodies the spirit of a modern-day Renaissance artist." -Jelena Rozic writer, columnist, linguist, Croatia. Goran Popovich is an actor/dancer/singer/painter/director currently based in the USA. His life's purpose is to be the luminary whose artistic palette knows no bounds. Goran's artistic journey started within the National Theatres of the Balkans, where he honed his craft alongside esteemed local and international directors/actors/instructors. It was here that he forged a profound connection with the essence of storytelling, seamlessly blending a diverse array of movement and acting techniques to breathe life into his characters. Driven by thirst for knowledge and artistic refinement, Goran pursued linguistic and literary studies in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Yet, his journey towards arts propelled him across the Atlantic to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Here, he further cultivated his talents and skills, exploring the nuances of film and theatre to elevate his craft to new heights. Goran Popovich is, first and foremost a collaborator and creator, who aims to collaborate with a diverse array of fellow artists, trying to tell the narratives that captivate the imagination and stir the soul. He finds pride in the genuine desire to connect with audiences on a profound level. In an industry often marred by ego and superficiality, he is trying to inspire fellow artists and audiences alike to embrace the transformative power of art.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
