Bert Lopez

Birth name Eriberto Lopez, nicknamed Bert by his 3rd grade teacher. Born in Laredo TX but raised all his life in San Antonio, TX. middle child of a family of 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Started acting in High School and acted in short films directed and produced by him while in High school. At the of 18 while working in a furniture store he met Ruben Rodriguez which shared the same dream as him and it was not till they were both in their 30's that they made their first film and entered it in the 48 hour Film Festival. Bert Filmed several more films with Ruben Rodriguez, as the protagonist in each film. He has been assistant producer/director in large theatre dramas at his church in San Antonio and has also acted in them, Dramas consisting of 30 to 60 actors. Movie Credits include 1. From Charlie, in 2010 2 The Best Gift, in 2012 3 The adventures of Jack Andrews in 2012, short appearance. 4. My Westside, in 2013 5. Undercover Santa, 1st. Feature film to be released in 2015, 2016. 6. AVER film with Director Felicia Villareal 2017 7. UCLA Film Festival 2018 as producer

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
