Raaj Vishwakarma, born as Chandra Shekhar on 28 March 1995, is an Indian actor, YouTuber, director, and producer. He hails from Rajapur, a small town in Chitrakoot District, Uttar Pradesh, and belongs to a Vishwakarma Hindu family. Raaj grew up in a middle-class family, with his father Awadhesh Kumar and mother Usha Devi. He has two siblings, Lata Vishwakarma and Shashi Vishwakarma. Raaj Vishwakarma's paternal grandfather is Badri Prasad Vishwakarma, and his paternal grandmother is Kamla Devi. His great-grandfather on his paternal side is Gokul Prasad Vishwakarma. On his maternal side, Raaj's grandfather is Lakshmi Prasad, and his maternal grandmother is Sanvariya Devi. Raaj shares a deep bond with his family, and their support has been instrumental in his journey in the entertainment industry.  Raaj completed his schooling from Tulsi Inter College in Rajapur in 2012 and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Botany from Indradev Tripathi Degree College, Kanpur, in 2015. He is fluent in three languages: Hindi, Bundeli (Bundelkhandi), and English.  Raaj’s passion for acting began at a young age, leading him to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He initially started posting videos on YouTube in 2016, creating short films under the channel name "VBro Production." However, his YouTube channel was shut down by the platform in 2017. That same year, Raaj made his acting debut in Bollywood with a small role in the comedy film Running Shaadi. He continued to build his career with roles in films such as Atrangi Re (2021) and Tadap (2021). Raaj’s breakthrough came in 2022 when he portrayed the character Abhay in Gangubai Kathiawadi, a biographical drama. His performance in the film was widely praised, further establishing him as a talented actor in the industry. In addition to acting, Raaj has worked as a director and producer, particularly in short films like Contract Killer: The Beginning.  In 2017, Raaj launched his YouTube channel Bundela Boys, where he shares a variety of content, including comedy sketches, pranks, travel vlogs, and lifestyle videos. The channel quickly gained popularity, with several of his videos going viral, including the widely viewed Dangal Girl | Final Dangal Match | Tulsi Smarak Rajapur | Bundela Boys.  Raaj is also known for his private personal life, though it is known that he has been in a relationship with Aanchal since 2018. Despite being relatively secretive about his love life, the couple has been together for several years.

About the Movie Section

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.
  • If you would like to correct movie data on this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's corrected on their site, it should soon be corrected on this site.
  • For additional corrections and profile removals, please e-mail The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
