Harry Larter (born February 20th, 2002), is an English Screenwriter and Director. Most notably, the short films 'Reminder' (2024), 'Flames' (2023) and 'Hanging by a Moment' (2022) which are all both directed and written by Larter. He studied Film Production at the University of Portsmouth between 2021 and 2024. He is the writer for 'Eventide' - a BAFP Drama Film, directed by Louis Westover, which has been completed and is on its film festival run. He has also worked as the First Assistant Director on the Christmas themed film 'Tinsel' (2023) directed by Davey Fox Ezra, and the short comedy film 'Daylight' (2023) directed by Alfie Sadler. As well as also working as other roles, such as Script Supervisor on the set of 'Eventide' and also helping to produce several productions. Larter has been an avid lover of film and television all of his life, and has always loved writing; having written shorts, features and stories since he was a child, as well as an attempt at writing a full novel back in 2016 / 2017, which he later adapted into his first short film, titled 'Time Virus' in 2021. His writing style tends to be grounded, focussing on hard hitting, gritty and emotional themes, however he has written other genres such as action, comedy and superhero. He also has a short background in acting, having studied drama in school and acted in several projects.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
