Nancy Georgina Dobles Morales (San José, November 12, 1977) is a Costa Rican presenter, model, and actress. Dobles Morales was born in San José on November 12, 1977. In her early years, she entered an academy to pursue her high school diploma through maturity, although she did not study at 15 years old, she entered the world of modeling at the Kathy Selley Academy, where she achieved such success that years later she worked as an instructor at the center. In 1997, she decided to participate in the Tica Linda contest, where she was chosen as the first lady. But the contest that led her to television was the Miss Hawaiian Tropic 2000, where she not only won but was also hired by the Costa Rican television station Repretel. In that same year, she hosted the game show "A Todo Dar". In 2003, her first child was born from her marriage to Daniel Drew, and in 2004, she decided to retire from the cameras to spend more time with him. At the end of that same year, she received an offer to participate as a presenter on the Teletica television station and became the host of the program "El Chinamo". In March 2009, she was featured on the cover of SoHo (Costa Rican version). At the end of 2010, she was invited to participate as a "celebrity" in the third season of "Bailando por un Sueño", becoming the winner and fulfilling the dream of an adoption home. In 2011, she was chosen to participate in the dance competition "Reto Centroamericano de Baile", becoming the winner of the cup. In 2012, she took on new projects, becoming the presenter of the television show "Ojo con la Pared". Since 2016, she has dedicated herself to being the presenter of the morning magazine "Buen Día", while also studying journalism at the San Judas Tadeo University.
Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
