An Iraqi actor who was born in the city of Babylon, Alexandria in 1951. He joined the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad and completed his studies in the Department of Dramatic Arts in 1973. He obtained a master’s degree in theatrical arts, as well as a doctorate in theatrical performance. He joined the National Acting Troupe since 1973, and presented more than a hundred works of art in the fields of theater, television and cinema, most notably the play Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth. He also acted in several films, including: Another Day, and Summer Cloud. He died on 8/7/2005 after a heart attack in the Olympic swimming pool in Baghdad.
