Born:
May 6, 1997
Yusei is a member of a Jpop group Fantastics from Exile Tribe, managed by LDH. Despite being musically inclined, up until college he only focused on soccer. When he got injured and couldn't play, he took it as an opportunity to pursue singing. He participated in the competition Best Body Japan 2016 and placed 2nd in the category Mister Best Body Super Model. In 2017, when LDH announced Vocal Battle Audition 5 to find vocalists for one of their groups, Fantastics, Yusei auditioned and was one of the winners along with Nakajima Sota. He made his debut in Fantastics in 2018. In 2021, he started his acting career by playing one of the lead roles for the first time in the drama "MY BEAUTIFUL MAN". Yusei has since taken on both lead and supporting roles in various dramas and films. In September 2022, Yusei won the "Outstanding Asian Star Prize" at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2022 for his role in MY BEAUTIFUL MAN, selected by fans worldwide from 175 actors across five Asian countries. In December 2022, he received the "Best New Actor Award" and the "Topic Actor Pair Award" at the WEIBO Account Festival 2022. Yagi made history in 2023 by winning the "Outstanding Asian Star Prize" again at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2023, becoming the first celebrity to win the award in consecutive years. In 2024, fashion magazine ViVi revealed its 2024 mid-year "ViVi National Treasure Level Handsome" rankings showcasing the most handsome men across various categories. Yusei topped the "NOW" division, securing Hall of Fame status with consecutive wins.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
