Raquel Azurdia Thommel is a Guatemalan director and screenwriter. Throughout her career, she has directed short films and music videos, such as “Un Lugar Libre”, which had its international premiere in Mexico, and “El Silencio del Paab’ank”, which has been screened at festivals in Uruguay, Costa Rica, USA and Russia Raquel has a passion for visual storytelling and the design of cinematic spaces that create emotional impact. Her career began in student and independent productions, where she stood out for her ability to translate creative visions into visually compelling and cohesive narratives. Additionally, Raquel is part of the coordination in a feminist organization advocating for a more inclusive world from Guatemala. In her work, she seeks to unify themes such as women’s struggles, the pursuit of freedom, and memory, incorporating these values into her film projects. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated an outstanding ability to collaborate with various production departments, ensuring that production design serves as an integral reflection of the narrative vision. She continues to explore new approaches in her work.

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
