Jeff Lyon, is an experienced filmmaker, writer and long-time horror movie aficionado. His first feature film, Main Street Meats has won several awards including Best Feature at the 2017 Chicago Horror Film Festival, Best Feature at the 2018 Indie Horror Film Festival, Best Film for the 2017 13Horror. Film & Screenplay Contest, Goriest Film at the 2018 FANtastic Horror Film Festival, and a Bronze Award in the 2017 Spotlight Horror Film Awards. His short films have appeared in several festivals, including the Rhode Island International Film Festival, Tortured Artists Film Festival, and Undershorts. He was co-producer and Director of Photography on the House That Jack Built (short) (2009), which screened on the 2009 Halloween Episode of Director's Cut on PBS and in the 2010 Phoenix Comicon Film Festival. Jeff's fiction has been published in The Best Underground Fiction: Volume One, next to writers such as Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting), and Elizabeth Crane (All This Heavenly Glory).

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
