Tom Stafford is an Irish actor and accomplished sound professional with an extensive career in location sound recording. Before making his acting debut in An Taibhse (The Ghost) (2024), he worked on numerous film productions, specializing in sound mixing, recording, and editing across independent and genre cinema.  His credits include sound work on The House That Was Not (2024), Amongst the Wolves (2024), Where It All Began (2024), A Hollow Tree (2023), Pooka (2023), Fishing Poles (2023), Murder of My Mother (2023), Listen to Me (2023), The Lost Jedi (2022), The Sleep Experiment (2022), Black Eyes (2021), The Yellow Dress (2020), Bluebell (2020), Saving Grace (2019), Mother (2018), Dive (2018), Maeve and the Moon (2017), Bare (2017), and Don't Run (2016), among many others.  Stafford’s expertise in sound has contributed to a wide range of projects, from short films and independent productions to feature-length thrillers and horror films. His ability to shape immersive soundscapes has made him a sought-after collaborator, working across multiple departments in filmmaking. His transition to acting further highlights his versatility and deep understanding of cinematic storytelling.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
