Anna Ellisa Gustin Jobling Abdul Rahman (born August 14, 2000), better known as Anna Jobling, is a Malaysian-British model, actress, and television host. Anna was a former contestant of Dewi Remaja 2018/2019, where she placed fourth. She has appeared in several TV dramas such as Shah Alam 40000 and Keluarga Baha Don, but is best known for her role in the drama Melur Untuk Firdaus. Before participating in the Dewi Remaja contest, Anna began her modeling career by competing in several beauty pageants such as Miss Melaka and Miss Pahang. At the age of 15, her mother sent her to a modeling academy run by Amber Chia, and since then, she has been active in modeling, appearing in television advertisements and magazine covers. Anna was selected as one of the 12 contestants of Dewi Remaja 2018/2019, which also featured participants like Haneesya Hanee, Zeera Azizi, Aween Ismail, and Arena Lieya. By the end of the competition, she was crowned fourth-place winner. Anna’s acting career began when she was offered a role in her debut film, Pasal Kau!, directed by Adrian Teh, which also starred Hairul Azreen and Janna Nick. She played the character Emelia. Her first drama appearance was in One Two Hantu, which aired on Awesome TV in Malaysia. She gained widespread attention for her role in the drama Shah Alam 40000, which aired in the Akasia slot on TV3, where she played the character Shafinaz McKenzie. For her role in this drama, Anna trained herself to speak Malay on set. She later starred in her second film, Penunggang Agama 2, playing the character Intan and working under the direction of Syafiq Yusof. In 2022, she was paired with Meerqeen in the drama Melur Untuk Firdaus, where she played the character Melur. The drama gained popularity on social media and became famous even internationally. This increased her recognition and led to numerous invitations to various television shows in Malaysia. In July 2022, her name was listed as one of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2022 by TC Candler, making her the sole representative from Malaysia in the annual campaign.
Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
