Mauri Victor Leonardo Hermundsson, originally named Victor Leonardo Hermundsson, known as Mustiga Mauri, was born on October 30, 1995, in Ytterjärna Parish, Stockholm County. He is a Swedish YouTuber, journalist, and television presenter for TV4. Mauri Hermundsson grew up in Järna. His father is from Iceland and his mother is from Germany. At the age of seven, he added the name Mauri, though it is not his official first name in the population register. Hermundsson has worked as a journalist for Expressen and Aftonbladet. He gained popularity with the YouTube channel Uppdrag: Mat in 2018, which he runs together with photographer Esaja Ekman. The channel focuses on food and often features one or more guests. By March 2023, about 70 videos had been published. It was originally launched with funding from Aftonbladet and had, by October 2021, around 529,000 subscribers and 90 million views, averaging approximately 1 million viewers per episode. One of the most watched videos in Sweden in 2020 was Hermundsson’s episode featuring Bianca Ingrosso, which had around 1.8 million views. In 2019, Hermundsson was nominated for the Stora Journalistpriset (Swedish Grand Journalism Prize) in the category Innovator of the Year. In 2021, he placed eighth in Medieakademin’s Power Barometer, and his channel was the fourth largest in Sweden that year. In 2022, the channel dropped to fifth place according to the same barometer. Hermundsson made his TV debut in the fall of 2020 as host of Lego Masters Sverige on TV4, which he hosted until 2022. In 2022, he led Aftonbladet’s comedy series Noll kontroll, appeared as a guest in Benjamin’s and Bianca, and launched his own show on TV4 titled Mauri – vad hände sen?, where he meets people who were once in the spotlight but have since disappeared from public view. The program was nominated as Entertainment Program of the Year after its first season. He also participated in Fångarna på fortet in 2023. In 2024, he was a panelist on the entertainment show Bäst i test, and in the same year, he became the sidekick to Pär Lernström during the audition episodes of the twentieth season of Idol, replacing Amie Bramme Sey. In 2025, he stars in the TV4 series Mauri och Morberg – på en liten resa, where he travels around the world with actor Per Morberg. He has also produced the podcast Topp 1 i Sverige, in which he interviewed top performers in various fields in Sweden.
Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
