Isabella Pappas is an Olivier Award nominated Actress based in London, Italy and Florida. Isabella has UK/EU/USA citizenship. In early 2021 Isabella Pappas will take on a lead role in six-part ITV drama series FINDING ALICE as 'Charlotte', also starring Keeley Hawes and Joanna Lumley. Isabella made her stage debut at the tender age of 11 playing the role of Iris in THE NETHER at the Royal Court Theatre and its West End transfer to the Duke of York's Theatre. This role earned her a well deserved nomination for 'Best Supporting Actress' at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards. '...special mention must go to Isabella Pappas, she gave one of the most impressive performances that I have seen on stage this year.' said The Huffington Post. A graduate of the highly renowned Sylvia Young Theatre School London and The Arts Educational School, Isabella played the title role of ANNIE in the UK Tour directed by Nikolai Foster and starring Craig Revel Horwood. 'There is no doubt the star of the show is Isabella Pappas - a talent way beyond her 12 years.' said WhatsOnStage'. Most recently on stage, Isabella played the role of Cassidy in Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins play APPROPRIATE at The Donmar Warehouse, London. This earned her a WhatsOnStage Award for 'Best Supporting Actress' for her performance. For the small screen, Isabella played Sadie in the Netflix and ITV drama PARANOID, also starring Indira Varma and for Channel 4 HOME as Gemma. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Publicist
Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
