Michelle J. Li is a Chinese-American New York based Costume & Production Designer for film/TV, stage and new media. She combines her extensive graphic and fine arts background in order to wield color, form and pattern with finesse to create fresh and whimsical work. Michelle most recently costume designed Emma Seligman’s breakout comedy feature Shiva Baby, which premiered across the festival circuit at SXSW, TIFF, NewFest, the Melbourne International Film Festival and many more. Shiva Baby won Outstanding Screenplay at L.A. Outfest 2020 and is now out in select theaters across the country and streaming on all major platforms. Additionally, Michelle production designed the music video ‘Before You Go’ for Grammy-nominated artist, Lewis Capaldi. Hailing from Queens, Michelle’s multifaceted artistic interests and talents led her to Carnegie Mellon University, where she earned a BFA in Costume Design from the School of Drama with summa cum laude honors. Michelle was also her design year’s sole recipient of the Elizabeth Kimberly Schrader Costume Design Award. She is a proud member of Local USA 829 and the Production Designers Collective. She is based in New York City.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
