Mohammed Al-Sanousi was a pioneering figure in Kuwaiti media, celebrated for his contributions as a director, producer, and media personality. Born in 1938 in Kuwait City, he founded Kuwait Television, which played a vital role in the development of media in the country. Throughout his career, Al-Sanousi championed Kuwait's media landscape and helped produce culturally significant works.  In addition to his contributions to television, Al-Sanousi held the position of Kuwait's Minister of Information in 2006, reflecting his commitment to both media and public service. Internationally, he is known for his involvement in major films like The Message and Lion of the Desert, which spotlighted Arab culture and history on a global stage.  Beyond film and media, Al-Sanousi received several awards, including the Arab Award for Media Creativity, recognizing his lasting impact on the industry.   • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).
