A work in constant progress (and occasional regress).
Birthplace:
Rieti, Italy
Born:
August 9, 1984
I have been working for 16 years as a Director, Author and Producer of films, docu, web series, music videos, commercials, reports, live events and theatrical performances. With the Swing Circus crew, I organized for two years the New Year's Eve at the Imperial Forums in Rome (Rome Sweet Home 2014, Swing Circus Vintage Party 2015). My first web series, "The Chamberlain", was voted Best Italian Series of 2016. In 2017 Raoul Bova produced my first documentary, "Wakeboard - Acrobatic Lives". In 2018 my theatrical debut "Goodbye Totti" sold out at the Parioli Theater in Rome. In 2020, during the lockdown, I shot entirely in streaming the web serie "L'amore ha i tempi del virus", distributed by La Repubblica. My debut feature, "Nel Bagno Delle Donne", co-produced by Rai Cinema and distributed by Istituto Luce - Cinecittà , is released on December 3, 2020 exclusively on www.MioCinema.it, a platform of Lucky Red and Circuito Cinema. From April 2021 to September 2022 it was available on Sky Cinema and Sky On Demand. On September 12, 2022, the film was broadcast in prime time on Rai 5, since then it has been available on the RaiPlay platform. In 2022 I wrote for Sabrina Iannucci's direction the documentary "Beyond Time, Love", produced by Indiana Production Spa, featuring physicist Carlo Rovelli and director Liliana Cavani. The film premiered at the Festival dei Popoli 2024. My second feature, "Amici Comuni", was awarded the second-highest ranked funding at the MIC's call for selective grants in December 2022, and will be produced for Italy by 102 Distribution. It is scheduled to shoot in 2025. Among others, I have collaborated with: Indiana Production Spa, Casta Diva Group, Gabriele Salvatores, Liliana Cavani, Carlo Rovelli, Michele Placido, Sergio Castellitto, Mark Ronson, Timur Bekmambetov, Ricky Tognazzi, Erri De Luca, Fiorello, Bebe Vio, Alessandro Borghi, Missoni, Fondazione Cinema per Roma, Rolling Stone Italia, Adnkronos. They are currently working on new film and TV projects.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
