From Carlos' website: Nice to meet you! I’m Carlos Eiene, also known as “insaneintherainmusic”. I’m an American / Filipino musician, specializing in video game music and jazz music. I compose music for video games, and also record instrumental performances for games, film, and other media. I’ve also created over 400 jazz arrangements of video game music on my YouTube channel insaneintherainmusic. I was born in the greater Seattle area of Washington state here in the USA, and started playing piano at a young age. Soon after, I was introduced to wind instruments via my school band program, and eventually settled on saxophone as my primary instrument. I started my YouTube channel insaneintherainmusic in 2012, where I began sharing my arrangements of video game music with the world. Since starting my YouTube channel, I’ve released my music on streaming platforms, produced several albums, and had the opportunity to perform at several gaming conventions, including MAGFest, PAX East, and VGMCon. I graduated from the Berklee College of Music 2020, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production, and also minored in Video Game Scoring. In 2022, I started composing for video games, with my first complete video game score for Tyrion Cuthbert: Attorney of the Arcane releasing in June of 2023. Video game music is my passion. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved playing video games, and I’ve also loved playing music. When I discovered that those two passions could be combined and you could play video game music on real instruments… my life changed forever. I’m dedicated to sharing my love of video game music with the world, and having fun while doing so.
Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
