Jiajie Yu (1989) is a Taiwanese/Spanish director, screenwriter and producer from Barcelona. His short films have been selected in more than 100 national and international festivals. Nominated twice to the Goya Awards, the first time as director and screenwriter of the short film Xiao Xian (2020) and the second time as producer of the short film Chaval (2023). Several of his works have achieved the Vimeo Staff Pick seal and have been shared on platforms such as NOWNESS, Booooooom, Directors Notes.... He is currently developing his first feature film, San Dai Shi Guang (Three Ages), produced by Solita Films, Coming Soon Films and Zeta Studios and distributed by Elastica Films and FILMIN, and his second feature film, Times of Loneliness, Violence and Youth, produced by CANADA. Both feature films have been selected in several development and production labs, such as Torino Film Lab, Residencias Academia de Cine, Bridging the Dragon, Ties That Bind, MFI Script 2 Film Workshop... Jiajie Yu is part of the first edition of Spain Stars of Tomorrow of the prestigious British film magazine Screen International, chosen as one of the 10 emerging talents with greater international projection.
