Baxter Renman is a young Swedish actor, born in Södermalm, Stockholm. He did his first public appearance in the Swedish TV documentary "Född 2010", and is well known in Sweden for his role as the comic relief character Håkan in the popular Swedish "Sune" film series. The movie "Sune vs Sune" was the most viewed Swedish film 2018, where the fantasies and inner worlds of Baxter's Håkan character played an important role of the story. During fall 2018, Baxter was filming two new productions: The top rated comedy "Finaste Familjen" (airing spring 2019) and the dark TV drama "Tsunami" (airing December 2019). During spring 2019 he was filming the new TV production "Ture Sventon & Bermudatriangelns hemlighet" (on TV December 2019), where he was portraying the classic villain "Ville Vessla" as a young boy. The 6th Sune movie "Sune - Best Man", was filmed early summer 2019, on cinemas in December 2019. During fall 2019, Baxter filmed the 4th season of the popular Swedish TV drama "Vår tid är nu" (airing December 2020), where he is portraying a young boy in Stockholm during the 1950's, dreaming of becoming a detective. Baxter filmed his third Sune movie, "Sune - Uppdrag: Midsommar", during June & July 2020 (on cinemas June 2021). The short film "Hjälmen" was filmed during spring 2021 and Baxter filmed the TV series "Bäckström" (season 2) for C More/TV4 during summer 2021 (on TV spring 2022), where he played the main character, inspector Bäckström, as a young boy. During autumn/winter 2021/22 Baxter filmed the short film "Såna som oss", directed by John Sundvall (premiere October 2022), a sad and intense semi-documentary drama . Wonderful soapbox car scenes was shot in May/June 2022, when Baxter participated in the film "Ett sista race", directed by Edward af Sillén (on cinemas Christmas 2023). During August 2022 Baxter once again filmed "Bäckström", this time season 3, and in November 2022 Baxter filmed the TV drama "Veronika", directed by the danish director Jonas Arnby, where he played the bully "Petter". At the same time, Baxter also filmed the upcoming Netflix TV drama "Genombrottet", produced by FLX, where Baxter is portraying the mentally challenged murderer as a child. A even further shift towards more complex roles was made winter/spring 2023, when Baxter shot "Åremorden" for SF Studios, a dark drama enacted in the Swedish mountains, where Baxters troubled teenage character Leo delivers a classic plot twist. "Åremorden" was released on Netflix Feb 2025 and quickly became one of the most streamed series on Netflix the following weeks. In May 2025, Baxter started filming a new movie in the archipelago of Stockholm, "Arkipelag" written and directed by Alex Schulman. This new movie is a dark drama about escalating conflicts within a group of teenagers on a school trip, where Baxter's character "Ted" is essential in pushing the story towards a bad outcome for all.
Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
