Jozef Waite is an actor, known for Dragon Blade (2015), Demon Girl (2016) and Grade One (2014).  He is the brother of actress Daisy Waite.  Jozef broke a bone in his foot doing his own stunts for Dragon Blade (2015). Some scenes had to be modified to take into account Jozef could no longer walk as his foot was in a cast.  At 6 years old, Jozef used 4 languages on the set of Dragon Blade (2015). Jozef spoke Mandarin to Jackie Chan and the Chinese crew members. English to John Cusackand the western actors. A Chinese local dialect to his mother. And learned to sing in Latin for the movie.  Jozef began reading the news on Jinyin katong (2009) at 3 years old and had filmed over 100 episodes of before his 4th birthday.  Jozef was vacationing when notified about the opportunity to film Dragon Blade (2015). So his audition tape was filmed in the hallway of a Malaysian hotel on an ipad.  Jozef had to keep his appearance in Dragon Blade (2015) a secret on request of the Grade One (2014) producers, as they were worried the audience would label the reality show "fake" if they were using an actor.

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
