Florence was the champion for Star Search Competition, attaining the title Star Search Winner & Miss Photogenic, organized by Singapore MediaCorp Studios in 1997. She is widely known for her roles in dramas such as The Return of the Condor Heroes 神雕侠侣 (1998) and Immortal Love不老传说 (1997).  She last starred in a Singapore TV series, a supernatural drama, Zero To Hero (2005) and had a cameo appearance in Joys Of Life (2012). She left the industry in 2006 after marrying a Taiwanese businessman, and started acting again in 2011, in China.  Through the years, Florence has won various awards. Voted by FHM Singapore Magazine, Florence topped the charts as 100 Most Sexy Woman in 2005. She was also nominated by Singapore Newspaper, “Zaobao” as Asia Top 50 Most Popular Artiste in 2004. She was nominated twice during Star Award Singapore for Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste (2000, 2003), and consecutively for three years in a row for Best Supporting Actress (1999, 2000, 2001). Florence goes beyond Singapore; she was nominated twice by Star Award Singapore for Most Popular Artiste in Malaysia (2000, 2001).  She has acted in multiple television series, Legendary Swordsman 笑傲江湖 (2000), A Child’s Hope 孩有明天 (2003), Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre 倚天屠龙记 (2003), The Dragon Heroes 赤子成龙 (2005), The Last Princess最后的格格 (2008), Tian Tian Happy 天天有喜 (2013) and Tian Tian Happy II 天天有喜II sitcoms such as My Genie我爱精灵 (2001) and My Genie (II) 我爱精灵 II (2001).  Florence also has strong presence in variety shows such as Happy Whole Day (2001), New Era in Food (2003), Big sale in Weekend (2003), Happy in Australia (2006).  She has released three albums thus far, ‘Wok Of Life’ CD (1999), ‘Celebration Mediacorp Music First Album’ (2001), ‘Chinese Goat New Year Song’ CD (2003).  Florence was most recently part of Star Search 2019 to many long time viewer’s delight and was apart of local variety Happy Go Lucky. Now based in Singapore, we’re excited to see her in future local productions!  Florence Tan is proudly represented by FLY Entertainment.

  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
