A work in constant progress (and occasional regress).
Andrew "Drew" Leung is a Los Angeles–based concept designer, filmmaker, and matte painter whose expansive career spans major Hollywood productions and animated documentary filmmaking. He began his career in the film industry as a matte painter on Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, later transitioning into visual effects and animation, with credits on Pushing Daisies, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Avatar, and Team America: World Police. This experience laid a strong foundation for subsequent roles in feature animation at Blue Sky Studios, where he worked on Horton Hears a Who!, Ice Age: The Meltdown, and Rio. Leung earned recognition as a concept artist on live-action films starting with Real Steel and Sucker Punch, steadily building his portfolio to include prestigious titles such as Iron Man 3, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Captain America: Civil War, Spider‑Man: Homecoming, Mulan, The Lion King (live‑action), Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Wakanda Forever, and Skeleton Crew: A Star Wars Story. He is also the director and producer of the animated short documentary The Chemical Factory, which explores the Chinese Cultural Revolution and anti-Asian violence. The film won Best Animated Film at Doc LA 2021 and the 2022 Socially Relevant Film Festival in New York. Leung's excellence has been recognised with numerous awards and accolades. He received Certificates of Appreciation from the Art Directors Guild for his work on La La Land and Black Panther. His environmental keyframe titled "Battle Scene" for Mulan earned Best Environment Art at the 2021 Lightbox Expo Concept Art Awards. Beyond his professional work, Leung is a lecturer in digital rendering and concept design at the UCLA School of Theatre, Film, and Television, with guest lectures at institutions such as AFI and California State University, Fullerton. He holds a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Production Design branch.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
