A work in constant progress (and occasional regress).
Lizzie Boyle is an American set decorator in film and television. She was born and raised in Seattle and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art and physics from Macalester College. Her educational background in visual art and science naturally led her to the world of set decoration and production design, where she has contributed to a diverse array of projects, including independent features and commercials for clients such as East West Bank and the Dodgers. Boyle's work as a set decorator has earned significant recognition. She is notably known for her contributions to A Black Lady Sketch Show (2019), which garnered her two Primetime Emmy Award nominations: in 2022 for Outstanding Production Design for a Variety, Reality or Competition Series for the episode "Anybody Have Something I Can Flog Myself With?" and in 2023 for Outstanding Production Design for a Variety or Reality Series for the sketch "Peek-a-Boob, Your Titty's Out." In addition to the Emmys, Boyle's work on A Black Lady Sketch Show (2019) has also been recognised by the Art Directors Guild, earning nominations in the Excellence in Production Design Awards. In 2022, she was nominated in the Variety, Reality, or Competition Series category for the episode "If I'm Paying These Chili's Prices, You Cannot Taste My Steak!" (Season 2, Episode 5; 2021). In 2023, she received another nomination in the same category for her work on episodes 302–305, including "Anybody Have Something I Can Flog Myself With?" (2022). She was also nominated in 2024 for her set design on A Black Lady Sketch Show (2019), Season 4, Episode 1 "I'm Clapping From My Puss," as well as Episodes 2 and 5. In addition to A Black Lady Sketch Show, Boyle worked as a set decorator on the Netflix children's series Waffles + Mochi(2021). Her work on Season 1 Episode 1, titled "Tomato," earned her a nomination from the Art Directors Guild in 2022 for Excellence in Production Design in a Variety, Reality, or Competition Series. Beyond her award-nominated television work, Boyle is also known for her contributions to notable films. She worked as a set decorator on Marriage Story (2019) in addition to her ongoing television career. She has also contributed to the Disney+ series American Born Chinese (2023), Wonder Man (2025) and the Apple TV+ anthology series Roar (2022).

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
