June 16, 1963
Ikeido Jun was born in Gifu Prefecture. Following his graduation from Keio University, he began working for Mitsubishi Bank in 1988. Following his retirement from the bank in 1995, he began working as a consultant and wrote a number of business related books and supervised software for accountants. In 1998, he won the 44th Edogawa Ranpo Award for "Hatsuru Sukonaki" and made his writing debut. In 2010, he won the 31st Eiji Yoshikawa Literature New Face Award for "Tetsu no Hone". In 2011, he won the 145th Naoki Prize for "Shitamachi Rocket"
