Reza Rahadian (born in Bogor, Indonesia on March 5, 1987) is an Indonesian actor. Born in Bogor, he took up acting while in senior high school and made his feature film debut in 2004. Since receiving his first Citra Award in 2009, he has acted in over a dozen films, ranging from comedies and romances to dramas and biopics. He is widely recognized as one of the most talented and versatile actors in Indonesian cinema, known for his ability to embody diverse characters across various genres.  Reza began his acting career in television before making his breakthrough in films. His role in Perempuan Berkalung Sorban (2009) earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the Indonesian Film Festival. He later gained widespread acclaim for portraying Indonesia’s third president, B.J. Habibie, in Habibie & Ainun (2012), a role he reprised in Rudy Habibie (2016) and Habibie & Ainun 3 (2019).  Throughout his career, Reza has starred in numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, including My Stupid Boss (2016), Imperfect (2019), Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan (2015), Gadis Kretek (2023), and many more. His ability to seamlessly transition between drama, comedy, and historical roles has made him a favorite among audiences and filmmakers alike.  Beyond acting, Reza is also involved in theater, directing, and serves as a jury member for film festivals. His contributions to Indonesian cinema have earned him multiple awards, including several Citra Awards, solidifying his status as one of Indonesia’s most respected and influential actors.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
