Born in Aichi in 1951. Becomes involved in independent filmmaking as a student of Kobe University. Discovers Stan Brakhage in 1974 and steps into the world of individual experimental images. Engages in constructing a petrochemical complex in Iran in 1978. Returns to Japan a year later due to the Khomeinī revolution. Joins the kick off of Voyant Cinémathèque in 1983. Leads the image exhibition based on individual and new work shows, "The Image Cosmology", since 1996 and continues till today. Also, he continues to produce "The Ecosystem Series", his lifework.

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
