After graduating from Shanghai Oriental Middle School in 1973, she worked in a department store in Luwan District, Shanghai, and stood at a counter in a small shop on Huaihai Road. Since both parents were actors, they went to the movie studio to play. Learned the art of recitation with the help of the famous voice actor Qiu Yuefeng, and later starred in the drama "There is a Heat Outside the House" and attracted attention. Zhang Min was recommended to take part in the film "Bashan Night Rain" filmed by Shanghai Film Studio, in which she played a rural girl and was well received. In 1982, Zhang Min entered the Shanghai Film Studio's Actor Troupe as an actor. She has played roles in many films and has participated in shooting TV series. She currently works for a chemical company in the United States. After entering Austria, she now lives in Hong Kong and is said to have married a foreigner.

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
