Ellie Goulding is an English singer-songwriter and author. She is known for her high piercing vibrato, breathy tone and emotive delivery vocals.  She has released five studio albums, 'Lights (2010)', 'Halcyon (2012)', 'Delirium (2015)', 'Brightest Blue (2020)', and 'Higher Than Heaven (2023)' which spanned several worldwide hits, including: 'Lights', 'Starry Eyed', 'Anything Could Happen', 'Burn', 'I Need Your Love', 'On My Mind', 'Love Me Like You Do', 'Something In The Way You Move', 'Army', 'Outside', 'Powerful', 'Still Falling For You', 'First Time', 'Close To Me', 'Hate Me', 'River', and most recently 'Miracle' which topped the UK Singles Charts for eight non-consecutive weeks, and made her the British female act with most songs entries in the chart history. She has sold more than 27 million albums and 216 million singles, and amassed 43 billion streams worldwide, making her one of the most successful British female singers of the 21st century.  Goulding's music contributions on cinema has been highlighted by both music and film critics. Her best-known cinematic collaborations includes the original songs: "Love Me Like You Do" for Fifty Shades of Grey, "Bittersweet" for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, "Mirror" for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, "Still Falling for You" for Bridget Jones's Baby, "Do You Remember" for Fighting with My Family; "How Long Will I Love You" for About Time, and the Divergent soundtrack, including "Beating Heart". Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
