He was married to Helen P. He died on December 28, 1968 in Los Angeles, California. One of Hollywood's all-time meanest villains - Although his imposing size, perpetual scowl, snarling voice and all-around evil demeanor made him one of the meanest of screen villains, before he became an actor Woods made a living selling ladies' hats.
