The film tells that the post-90s returnee Amy (Yao DI) was born in a single parent family. She found the clue of her biological father from the diary of her late mother. She decided to look for her father's whereabouts along the Yangtze River, and the wandering singer Tao (song Ningfeng) who suddenly appeared due to a misunderstanding of her suicide told her that he could guide her. Through continuous investigation along the Yangtze River, Amy gradually found the truth of her father's disappearance and revealed an unknown emotional secret of four male and female college students of channel college more than 30 years ago.
