After a stirring 2021 campaign in which he won and defended the UFC lightweight title by finishing Michael Chandler and Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira begins his second year as champion on May 7 as he defends his crown against former interim titlist Justin Gaethje in the main event of UFC 274. Living up to his nickname "The Highlight" every time he steps into the Octagon, Gaethje will attempt to follow up his Fight of the Year win over Michael Chandler by taking Oliveira's title in a bout that is expected to set the bar high as 2022's best. Plus, UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas gets a change to avenge a bitter defeat when she faces top contender Carla Esparza in a long-awaited rematch of the top 115-pound fighters in the the world.
