A winter holiday story about a girl who runs a boarding house in the mountains. The new highway has unfortunately passed the guesthouse and no one looks into it anymore, the guesthouse goes bankrupt. In addition, Basia is pregnant. The expected child is the fruit of one intoxicating night, and the father of the child is unknown. Snowstorm, snow covered roads, Basia runs out of food supplies. It is Christmas Eve evening. And just on this evening, three suspicious men unexpectedly arrive at the guesthouse. On the radio, every now and then, announcements are made about the three wanted criminals, so Basia has the right to think that they are the ones. The game begins, a spiral of mutual suspicion and accusations is set in motion. Nevertheless, everyone tries to spend Christmas Eve solemnly and with dignity. And it is only during the dressing of the Christmas tree and Christmas Eve dinner that each of the men discovers his true face and his reasons for coming to Basia's boarding house.
