Nineteen-year-old young man Azat moves from the village to Almaty to work as a bricklayer at a construction site in the brigade of his older brother. But his brother is delayed in the mountains on the construction of another object, and Azat is forced to spend several days alone without housing and money in a big city. One event, in which the young man is a direct participant, will determine his fate.

Overview from Open Movies

Azat, is a 19-year-old villager who comes to a big city of Almaty to work as a bricklayer in the construction team of his elder brother Murat. Murat lingers in the mountains on a construction site for 2-3 days and Azat must stay in Almaty with no money until his brother arrives. In the city there will be the "crossroad of fate" which determines how things will unfold in Azat's life.

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).
