Chacko master, a school headmaster, is never happy with his son, Thomas, and always degrades him. However, having had enough of him, Thomas runs away from home only to return as a gangster after long.

Chacko Master (Thilakan) is a mathematics teacher as well as the school headmaster in a fictional small town. He is a very strict teacher and does not go easy with his own son Thomas (Mohanlal). Frustrated with his father's heavy-handedness, Thomas leaves home. After 14 years, Thomas returns to his village, now the owner of a stone quarry and a criminal who has a number of unresolved court cases against him. Father and son are mutually resolved never to reconcile with each other, causing immense distress to Thomas's mother and younger sister.
