Throughout his career, Ricky Steamboat was widely regarded as the wrestler's wrestler. He was often celebrated for his intense work ethic, charisma and incredible physique but he earned his place as an icon on the strength of four legendary bouts--his 1989 three-match series against The Nature Boy over the NWA World Championship, and a Wrestlemania III classic against "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Through a series of intimate interviews between Steamboat and his peers, including greatest rival Ric Flair, this episode peels back layers to reveal a more personal Ricky, from his humble beginnings as a military brat, unshakeable family values, trials and triumphs, all culminating in the legendary bouts that sealed his place as an icon in sports-entertainment history.

  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).
