LIANG HUAN is a young man with a Chinese mother and a Spanish father who grew up in the suburbs of Barcelona. He makes a living giving as a kung fu teacher and dealing with his neighborhood friends: PARDALES, a thief by profession who is like a cat with nine lives, and TRACAS, a drug dealer who is dim-witted, but with a big heart. Liang's great love is PEI LAN, a beautiful and mysterious student who attends his classes. What LIANG doesn't know is that Pei Lan is the daughter of SOONG, head of the Chinese mafia in Barcelona, whom she hopes to succeed one day. In order to get Pardales out of his regular prison visits, Liang acts as a confidant of MONTSE GELABERT, a police inspector who is after the Chinese mafia for having killed her family years ago.
