The story of a turner and locksmith, whose talented work did not fit into the system of the planned economy and the mentality of the Soviet Union. A turner with golden hands works at a factory, where he is disliked by colleagues and the boss for exceeding the norm. A film about a talented person who wants to work and create, but the system forces him to blend in and be like everyone else.
