Amon, a private detective specializing in affair investigations, is asked by a man named Koga to investigate the conduct of his wife, Misako, who is a housekeeper. It turns out that Misako is addicted to an affair with her employer, Kiriyama. Amon reports this to Koga, but in fact, Misako's affair was arranged by Koga to promote her divorce. Before long, the incident takes an unexpected turn... This is a story about a humble private detective and a married woman who falls for her husband's tricks, and is a hard-boiled Eros work that intertwines lust and lust. Mayuko Sasaki plays the ill-fated married woman well, and Motoko Sasaki and Shoko Kudo are also very sexy.

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).
