A leading figure in female entrepreneurship and the entertainment industry with 25 years’ experience, Karine is an award-winning producer based in Montreal and Los Angeles. As CEO and co- founder of Mediabiz and Starlings as well as co-founder and Managing Partner of MBM3, Karine defined their strategic directions and oversaw the financing, production, operation and exploitation of their projects. Through Mediabiz and its affiliates, Karine has been a producer, executive producer or financier of over 50 film and television projects, including award winning films Magic Beyond Words: the J.K. Rowling Story and Elton’s John’s Biopic Rocketman. In television, Karine is an executive producer of a production slate that includes Sherlock & Daughter, starring David Thewlis for The CW in the US and Discovery+ in the UK & Ireland; the award-winning conspiracy thriller drama Departure, now in development for a fourth season after a successful launch on Global Network Canada, Peacock in the U.S. and multiple international networks; Storyville, a new series in development for the global market flashing back to the birth of the jazz age from Executive Producer Usher and Creators-Executive Producers Bill Macdonald (Rome, Flying Tigers) and Walt Becker (Clifford the Big Red Dog, Wild Hogs); and, with Athena Pictures, Shadowland, from Creator Jacqui Barcos and Director Darnell Martin (American Rust, The Good Lord Bird, Cadillac Records). Before joining Mediabiz, Karine worked for a US independent film and television production and distribution company in Los Angeles and Munich where, as Senior Vice-President and Head of Business Affairs, she managed legal, financial and commercial operations. She began her career as an attorney for two large law firms in Canada where she practiced litigation, commercial and corporate law in addition to entertainment law.

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
