Grégory Levasseur is a writer , producer , dialogue writer , artistic director and director of second French team , born in 1979 in Douarnenez in Finistère . He often collaborates with his childhood friend Alexandre Aja .  Gregory Levasseur, who is inseparable, often devotes himself to directing and Alexandre Aja to directing since his first short film Over the Rainbow in 1997 , presented in official competition at the Cannes Film Festival and nominated for the Palme d'Or short film , and Award for Best Short Film at Molodist International Film Festival .  After their first feature film Furia in 1999, which is a failure, they write Haute Tension, which is very successful at festivals in France and abroad at the Catalonia International Film Festival, where they award the Best Director Award and the Grand Prix of European fantasy film, especially at the Independent Film Festival of Sundance in 2004 which allows them to take the first steps in Hollywood.  US producers entrust their remakes like The Hills Have Eyes ( The Hills Have Eyes , 2006) that Wes Craven was conducted in 1977 , Mirrors (2008) and Piranha 3-D (2010). By the way, in 2006 , they give a hand to their Canadian friend Franck Khalfoun to work on the script for 2 e basement ( P2 , 2007).

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
