Joyce Eveidi (Montreal, October 22, 1961) is a Greek actress. She was born in Montreal, Canada to Greek immigrant parents and spent her childhood there. After she came of age, she settled permanently in Greece, specifically in Athens. He studied acting at the National Theater School of Drama. Her television career began in 1985, where she participated in some ERT series. In 1987, he starred in a State Television production for children, entitled Tou koutiou ta mithyia, together with notable actors, such as Efi Papatheodorou, Tasos Kostis and Pavlos Haikalis. In the same year, she made a guest appearance in the 9th episode of the Vangelitsa channel series, with a total duration of 13 episodes.  In 1989, with the launch of private television, she made a brief appearance in the series The Arbitrary, while a year later she participated in a few episodes of the hit series The Three Graces. Between 1990-1992 she also had a leading role in the MEGA comedy series, The Penthouse, which was a huge success. In the 1992-1993 season she starred in another ERT production, the series Indivisible, together with Vana Partheniadou, Alexandros Mylonas and Nikos Alexiou. The series did not have the expected viewing figures and it can often be considered that it was an "ancestor" series of Konstantinos and Eleni (the script was again signed by Anna Hatzisofia), but it did not manage to be loved by the world and now, most people consider Konstantinos and Elenis, one of the best Greek series of all time.  In fact, Joyce had appeared in an episode of this series (scripted by Roma-Hatzisofia), perhaps because a few years before, from 1993 to 1996, she starred in the also top series Oi men e oi den, together with Haris Roma , Anna Kouri and Stelios Maina. And this series is considered one of the best in the history of private television and even reached a total of 110 episodes. An important work for Joyce was The Cafe of Joy from 2003-2006. From 2013 to 2017 he participated in Brusko. In 2020, he plays in the 4th cycle of Cafe of Joy.

About the Movie Section

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.
  • If you would like to correct movie data on this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's corrected on their site, it should soon be corrected on this site.
  • For additional corrections and profile removals, please e-mail The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
